‘El Árbol es Vida’ se presenta en el Congreso Forestal

El proyecto ‘El Árbol es Vida’, acontecimiento de excepcional interés público iniciativa de la Fundación Española de la Madera, participó en el 6º Congreso Forestal Español, que se celebra hasta el día 14 de junio en Vitoria con el objetivo de presentar los resultados de las investigaciones y experiencias del ámbito forestal y exponer ideas y propuestas de mejora.


un proyecto para plantar árboles beneficioso para la empresaEn concreto, mediante una comunicación que ha corrido a cargo de Beatriz del Castillo, representante de la Fundación Española de la Madera, se explicó en qué consiste el proyecto ‘El Árbol es Vida’, cuáles son sus objetivos y qué beneficios pueden obtener las empresas que decidan sumarse para apoyar la plantación de 10 millones de árboles por toda España, favoreciendo así la difusión de la cultura del árbol y el uso de productos de madera frente a otros materiales menos respetuosos con el medio ambiente.

‘El Árbol es Vida’ es un programa de plantación y concienciación medioambiental incluido en la Ley de Presupuestos Generales del Estado 2012 como acontecimiento de excepcional interés público. Esta fórmula de colaboración público-privada permite a los patrocinadores del evento beneficiarse de los máximos incentivos fiscales, lo que supone una deducción fiscal en el Impuesto de Sociedades de hasta el 90% de las cantidades donadas. ‘El Árbol es Vida’ aparece ya incluida en el formulario para la declaración de la Renta 2012, en el apartado de Regímenes de apoyo a acontecimientos de excepcional interés público, de modo que los contribuyentes disponen ya de la posibilidad de acogerse a las desgravaciones fiscales que contempla la ley por las donaciones realizadas a este proyecto.

Otros de los objetivos de ‘El Árbol es Vida’ son asegurar la gestión forestal sostenible, contribuir a mitigar el cambio climático –ya que los bosques son grandes sumideros de carbono, sobre todo durante su crecimiento- y consolidar un sector clave para la economía y el empleo, como es el sector de la madera.
